The Global Water Crisis
Allison Newsome presenting
Allison Newsome is a sculptor and pioneer in public sculture installations and pavilions that feature rain harvesting, bio-filtration and water storage. Her public sculpture serves not only as bright, sculptural beacons to gather community, but as transformational green-led artwork that speaks of water and sustainability for an inspired garden in a public park. While public water sites are mostly designed to dispose of water as quickly as possibly, Allison sees rainwater as a resource to be harnessed and not a problem to be disposed of: "I want to marry smart water management with public art."
